How to complain

Before you submit a complaint, you should contact the company, organisation, person, or authority that you believe is processing your personal data contrary to data protection rules.  

If you wish to submit a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency, we recommend that you use this form.

You may also send your complaint by e-mail or normal mail.

The minimum information required by the Danish Data Protection Agency to process your complaint is your name and address. As a rule, the Danish Data Protection Agency does not process anonymous complaints.

If you use the form, it is also a good idea to save the file on your computer before sending it to us. You should also check to ensure the fields on the form are filled in and saved before you send it.

The Danish Data Protection Agency does not accept files with file extensions such as .exe, .com, .zip or .rar, or files containing audio or video sequences. The Agency is also unable to download files from external links or receive files that have been sent on USB memory sticks.
